A Union Pacific train derailed in Pittsburg County

PITTSBURG COUNTY, Okla. (KTUL) — 

A Union Pacific train derailed in Pittsburg County Sunday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

They say it happened between Kiowa and Savanna just off Highway 69 just after 6:30 a.m.

OHP says the train had 16 rail cars and the rear-facing locomotive derailed.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the derailment is still under investigation.
