MARK ALLEN HUIZENGA, 76, of Camanche, IA, died Monday, November 13, 2023, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL.
His funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 17, 2023, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Fulton, IL, with Rev. John Byker, retired pastor, officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be at Fulton Township Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
Mark was born March 26, 1947, in Clinton, IA, to Harold D. and Theresa (Balk) Huizenga. He attended Fulton Grade Schools and Fulton High School. Mark served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he drove a rescue truck. He married the mother of his child, Linda LeQue, on May 25, 1994, in Fulton, IL. They were later divorced. He worked as a carman repairing railroad cars for the Union Pacific railroad until retiring. He was a proud member of the Clinton Am Vets. Mark embraced life to the fullest and enjoyed riding his Harleys.
Survivors include one daughter, Amanda (Dale) Morris of Davenport, IA; one grandson, Miles Morris; one brother, Phil Huizenga of Fulton, IL; one niece, Crystal (Brandon) Phillips of Fulton, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister-in-law, LaVonne Huizenga; one niece, Becki Huizenga.
